Jamboree On The Trail is an annual event held worldwide on the second Saturday of May when Scouts of all ages and various countries hike, wherever they might be. Included is a Northeast Georgia Council Day of Service project that will include trail maintenance and landscaping.
No cost to attend - 2017 JOTT patches are $4 each.
Wear good walking shoes and bring a water bottle.
Information on International Scouting will be available.
If you want to receive patches during the event, please register by April 15

Then nominate them for one of the three awards being presented at the 2016 Apalachee Adult Volunteer Recognition Banquet in January.
Nominations are now being accepted for Cub Leader of the Year, Scoutmaster of the Year, and District Award of Merit. Please use the nomination form and complete it for each and every Scouter you know that goes the extra mile for Scouts in our District.
Nominations can also be turned in at Round Table.

Registration Fee will be $15.00 to cover the cost of training supplies and lunch.
Who should attend? All leaders eager to have a great pack outdoors program.
Is BALOO a required training? At least one adult on a pack overnighter must have completed Basic Adult
Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO).
BALOO is specifically designed for a Cub Scout leader who has minimal camping experience but wants to
plan and carry out an entry-level outdoor experience for the pack. The goal of this pack outdoor experience is to
provide a successful outing that is fun while being based on the principles of Cub Scouting.

All Scouts have a Duty to God. A Council Duty to God Weekend Camporee for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will be held March 31st - April 2nd at Camp Rainey Mountain. A Council Duty to GOD Banquet will be held March 11th, 2017 at a location to be determined. Please see the following flyers for further information.
Boy Scouts must be at least 13 by the beginning of the course (sorry, no exceptions) and at least First Class rank. All Venturers are eligible to attend. The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO, all taught with a clear focus on HOW TO.
