Memorial Day Parade
With Memorial Day being just around the corner, this is an important time for us to remember the significance of this national holiday.
The Scouting program focuses on the character building opportunities available to all Americans. One of the most important opportunities for Scout growth can occur on Memorial Day.
The Dacula Memorial Day Parade is one of the highest profile events in Gwinnett County for public awareness of Scouting that your Pack or Troop can participate in. It is important that we recognize this opportunity to make sure each of our Scouts are aware of the sacrifice made by thousands of Americans who died guarding our precious liberties and way of life.
With this in mind, I encourage every Pack and Troop reading this to participate in the 22nd Annual Dacula Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25th, 2015. Deadline to register is Friday, May 15, 2014.

The 2017 National Scout Jamboree is again expected to be inviting both Scout Troops and Venturing Crews. To have a successful Jamboree for all interested Scouts and Venturers, the council needs qualified and committed adult leadership beginning planning and promotion in early 2015.
