New BSA Guidelines for Tools, Elevations and Excavations

OA Unit Elections
Its
that
time again for all of the Troops/Teams in the Apalachee District
(Canantutlage Chapter) to schedule an OA unit election. Scheduling an
election is simple just click here
and fill out the online OA unit election request form or talk to the OA
election team/OA Chapter Adviser at the district roundtable on the 2nd
Thursday of each month @ Colins Hill School from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM.
100th Year of Eagle Scouts Council Strips
Please note, the first form is for "Eagle Scouts" only and
costs $7.00 each. The second form is the north East Georgia council strip
form and can be warn by any registered scout or leader and costs $5.00
each. Shipping is free with orders of $35.00 or more so check with other
scouts in your unit. Like the "100 years of Scouting patches" in 2011, these
"100 years of Eagle Scouts" will only be available in 2012. Click here to order

BALOO Training
There will be a BALOO Training opportunity on June 23rd from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at Shadowbrook Baptist Church (Student Ministry Building). Click here for more info
PathFinder 2012
June 11-15 and June 18-22
We offer the opportunity for a scout to spend a day or more at camp and earn a merit badge. Your Scout can earn his choice of several different Merit Badges. Attend one or multiple days!! Have an exciting time at camp and go home to sleep in his own bed at night!!
We will offer several fun and exciting merit badges. Including Archery and Rifle Shooting, Swimming and many others. Click here for more info

The date for the university of scouting has change the new date is November 3rd. Hope to see you there!
Wood Badge 2012
Spring Courses dates Weekend 1 - April 27th - April 29, 2012 Weekend
2 - May 18th - May 20, 2012 @ Scoutland
Fall Courses Dates Weekend 1 - October 19th - October 21, 2012 Weekend 2 - November 16th - November 18, 2012 @ Scoutland Each
Course will begin on Friday morning and conclude approximately 5:00 PM on Sunday.

evolved since then to become the BSA's premier leadership training
event. Wood Badge teaches contemporary leadership skills in an outdoor
setting. Its five central themes are:

Powder Horn 2012 / Heat it up with High Adventure!
Weekend One: September 7-9, 2012 at Scoutland
Weekend Two: September 28-30, 2012 at Camp Rainey Mountain
The
Powder Horn course is designed to expose older youth and adult leaders in the BSA to safely conduct outdoor/high adventure activities of a fun and challenging nature. Click here for more information
