Beaver Award is the highest award a council can bestow upon a volunteer. It is a national level recognition. Each year, NEGA recognizes well deserved leaders with this award. OA Unit Elections
Its
that
time again for all of the Troops/Teams in the Apalachee District
(Canantutlage Chapter) to schedule an OA unit election. Scheduling an
election is simple just click here
and fill out the online OA unit election request form or talk to the OA
election team/OA Chapter Adviser at the disttrict roundtable on the 2nd
Thursday of each month @ Colins Hill School from 7:00 PM - 8:45 PM.
Advance-a-Rama 2012
The 2012 District Advance-a-Rama will be held on February 18, 2012 at Central Gwinnett High School from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Online registration open on Dec 10th. Chick here for more information
100th Year of Eagle Scouts Council Strips
Please note, the first form is for "Eagle Scouts" only and
costs $7.00 each. The second form is the north East Georgia council strip
form and can be warn by any registered scout or leader and costs $5.00
each. Shipping is free with orders of $35.00 or more so check with other
scouts in your unit. Like the "100 years of Scouting patches" in 2011, these
"100 years of Eagle Scouts" will only be available in 2012. Click here to order

Spring Fling
March 16 - March 18, 2012
Spring Fling is an exciting overnight camping experience for a BEAR or WEBELOS Scout and his adult partner. Scouts will be working on the Sports and Academic belt loops, BB's and Archery, along with fun times for games, and campfire at the council's scout camp on beautiful Lake Lanier.

What an incredible banquet we had this past Saturday, January 21st at the Gwinnett
Environmental Heritage Center! We
had a record attendance of over 130 Scouters! Thank you for making this a

Duty to God Banquet
Gainesville First Baptist Church
On Saturday, March 3 our council will have its
18th annual Duty to God Banquet. The purpose of this banquet is to
recognize all our youth who have earned a religious emblem during 2011.
The banquet is free to all our registered youth who have earned a
religious emblem during 2011. All others must pay the banquet fee of $12
($6 for children six and under. more information>>

Scout Show 2012
Scout Show 2012 is an "action--packed" weekend where your pack, troop, team, crew, ship or post will be able to feature its talents and skills. It is an
opportunity to show-case all of the great things we do in the Northeast Georgia Council. Let's show all of the visiting parents, neighbors,
schools, and general public scouting at its best.
The
public exposition portion of Scout Show & Expo will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds located in Lawrenceville,
Georgia from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
This year's theme will be "Play for Real."
